Techtron HPV exhibits extremely outstanding resistance to wear and an extremely low coefficient of friction. It rises above the drawbacks of virgin PPS which was as a result of a high coefficient of friction, and of reinforced PPS prepared from glass fiber which can lead to premature wear of the counter face in moving-part of the machines and applications.

The properties of Techtron HPV are as follows:

1) outstanding wear and frictional performance

2) outstanding chemical and hydrolysis opposition

3) extremely fine dimensional stability

4) excellent electrical insulating as well as good dielectric properties

5) low flammability

6) outstanding opposition against energy radiation

PPS products put forward dimensional stability and physical strength at mild temperatures. These products are rated for nonstop service at a temperature of around 425°F (220°C), but the physical strength and firmness fluctuate on the basis of temperature and grade. Unreinforced Techtron PPS is usually not suggested for wear applications and where wear and tear of machine parts takes place. Products such as PAI or PEEK are better choices for wear applications which tale place at high temperatures. When compression molded grades are taken into consideration, it is significant to note its comparatively impact strength and low elongation.
